INJURIES

You may have sustained an injury at work or there may be factors at work contributing to your problem such as using vibratory tools, heavy lifting or lots of overhead work. Our physiotherapists can identify these factors and make modifications as part of your treatment plan so that you may continue to work.

Sporting-related Injury

From ankle sprains to long-standing knee pain, our physiotherapists can look after all types of sporting-related injuries.

Repetitive Strain

Our tissues such as our bones and tendons love to do work. However, if we do too much too often or too soon, our tissues become overloaded and that’s when pain and injury develop. Our physiotherapists know just the right amount of exercise and rest to allow the tissues to heal without losing their integrity. They can then gradually build up tissue tolerance so that you may do the same, if not more, than what you were doing before!

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

This occurs when one of the nerves in the forearm becomes compressed in the carpal tunnel as it travels through the wrist. People with carpal tunnel syndrome experience a burning pain in the wrist and pins and needles or numbness in the fingers which often occurs at night. Sometimes the pain can radiate to the forearm, elbow and shoulder. At Achieve Physio, we can guide you through the treatment process including surgical options.

Traumas/accidents

If you are experiencing neck pain as a result of a motor vehicle accident, you may be suffering from whiplash injury. This can be a scary time and you may be worried there is something seriously wrong your neck. At Achieve Physio, we perform an assessment to determine whether there is need for an X-ray and follow the latest guidelines for whiplash recovery.

Post-surgery

From ACL reconstructions to joint replacements, our physiotherapists can take care of all of your post-surgical rehabilitation needs.
